Tonight when I was listening to DC 101 one of the DJs, Travis, said something I find to be pretty offensive. He was talking to this one caller about the new Linkin Park song. The caller was saying how it sounded like something Jesse McCartney would put out. Travis proceeded to play the song "Beautiful Soul" and sang along, but instead of singing the actual lyrics he just sang over and over "I'm so gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay."

I don't know about you, but I was pretty pissed off by that. I'm writing DC 101 and telling them how offended I was by that and I hope you do too. I know this information is second hand, but I think that Travis, DC 101, and Clear Channel Radio should know that it's not ok for things like that to be said. Here's my e-mail to them, which I'm going to snail mail to them as well. I'm not a great writer, but it's the best I could do tonight.

As a lesbian I am extremely upset by this. Why Travis thought that it was ok to say that is absolutely beyond me. I hope DC 101 and Clear Channel Communications does not condone what he said and makes it clear that it is not acceptable for any of it's employees to say any kind of anti-gay speech, rhetoric, talk, expression or anything else you could or would call it.
